Not very consistent with the weeks in between pictures, but you get the gist of it! From hardly pregnant to ready to pop...now hopefully I'll have a baby to show for it this week and not another picture of me.

Happy New Year

Well I guess it's time to share the news, I had planned on waiting a while longer(and had a very clever idea in mind) but I think it's time to spill the beans... before someone else does. Skyler, Preston & I are so very pleased to be making this announcement, July can't come soon enough. We can't even tell you how excited we are to have another sweet little babe in our family. We are so very blessed and are looking forward to meeting our little babe this summer!

Well... the families know now, everyone seemed to be very excited for us. We sent out the announcement e-mail and quickly got back many happy responses. My favorite response of all came from Lane, here's what he said,  "Well I liked your card I just got today about the new baby, that is pretty sweet! I think I was more impressed with seeing real clothes! Not just some clothes that you donated to the DI and were later sent here to Africa!". Haha sad but so true. Lane actually already knew(for a long time) I promised Lane he would be the first to know so....he was, months ago!(What can I say, he's my bud!) Next favorite response goes to...Shane & Sadie well this it actually what Shane said...."Congratulations! That is great news, so our little babe can have a friend her own age. Good job guys." and Sadie, "I hope you know how EXCITED we are that you are having a baby!! We will hope for a girl so Maely can have a friend to play with to beat up on all the boys:) How fun would it be to have a little girl right after Shane and Sadie, our little girlies could be best buds since they will only be 2 1/2 months apart! Now that the family knows, I'll be waiting at least until after my first appointment to tell anyone else, just to make sure things are going smooth! 

Good Bye Sickness, I Hope You Never Return

Well it's over...kind of (knock on wood). The feeling like I was going to barf all day long has left, Thank goodness. For the most part I'm feeling great, bad headaches and a stomach pain, a little nausea every once in a while I can handle. I guess I got pretty lucky only being sick for a couple weeks. Everything else seems to be going great.

How far along? 10 weeks
Total weight gain: not really sure, don't have a scale, but none that I notice.
Maternity clothes? Not for a long time I hope.
Stretch marks?nope, none with the first baby so hopefully I'll be as lucky the second time around
Sleep: Normal, besides the 1 or 2 times I wake up for a bathroom break.
Best moment this week: Realizing that I kicked the all day sickness...hopefully for good!

Have you told family and friends: Skyler's Parents(and Dallen) and My Parents know, that's it for now.

8 Weeks

And The Sickness Takes Over...

Well I'm almost 8 weeks and the morning sickness has kicked in....actually the morning, evening and half of the day sickness. Just enough that I feel like doing nothing all day long. Most of the time if I eat I feel better, so I have to be constantly eating which when I feel sick I don't want to do, so I just end up being sick most of the day. I was only sick the first trimester with Preston, so were just hoping I'm not sick any longer than that. But I'll get through this...and it will be worth it!

Telling My Parents

I wouldn't normally spill the beans so early but I was getting ready to spray paint some furniture and thought I better ask my Dad if it was safe, so....I sent him a little text that said, "Not saying that I am, but would it be safe to spray paint if I were pregnant?haha well he replied quickly and was very excited, but his lips were sealed until I could get a card out in the mail to my mom. I felt bad that my Dad knew such excited news and my Mom didn't so I sent out the little card a few days later.

                           

I decorated a gum box and inside was a little note sharing our big news (very simple). My mom called me as soon as she opened it and was also very excited...and very glad that I didn't keep the secret for any longer. Hopefully she hid the box so nobody else finds out yet(I have a little something planned for the siblings....but it will be a while).

Telling Skyler's Parents

We were headed to Farrell and Dena's for Thanksgiving last week. We had been putting notes in our thankful turkey all month planning to open them on Thanksgiving with the family, we figured that would be a perfect way to share the new with them.

I slipped in this little note and Farrell ended up having it in his pile that he was reading. He read it ahead of time and secretly saved it for the very last thankful note to be read. After everybody read there pile of notes Farrell says," oh, I have one more"... and read the note. They were so excited and were very happy we shared the news with them so soon. And since Dallen was home he knows now to....but he's the only one besides our parents, lucky duck!

Suprise!

Last night my suspicions came true…I’m pregnant, there is so much joy and excitement running through me right now. Two little munchkins running around this place, seems so surreal right now, but before I know it I will have a sweet, tiny, perfect bundle of joy in my arms. I go about my day as normal and then all of the sudden I’ll think to myself…I’m pregnant? That’s funny I don’t feel different… am I sure about that? Yes very sure! I'm due July 2012, so I'm thinking I'm about 5weeks along, I found out a lot sooner than I did with Preston, so it seems so silly to be talking about pregnancy...I mean all that's inside me right now is a little sesame seed baby. I’m so excited this journey is beginning again!
