How We Spilled The (gender) Beans - Family Reaction!

The scratch cards have been received by all my family, so they all know IT'S A BOY!

Here's uncle Ryan & Tayler scratching off their cards.

Since it would take a while to send the actual scratch card to Lane in Africa, I sent him a play by play of pictures in his email last week...so this is how I told Lane.

 (Lane), Pretend you just got this really cool scratch card in the mail, grab your penny and make your guess.

I know your guess would be boy cause that's what you have been telling me the whole time, but to please me you will be scratching girl first.

Only to find out that in fact...we are not having a girl.

So then you finish scratching boy, laughing your head off and thinking... I told you so!

Yes it is true, we are having a boy (and don't worry I still am super excited). Two little boys, if he's anything like Preston we'll have the cutest boys of them all.

Lanes reply to the email  -   Yes i was right like always!!!! That's what we call the gift of discernment!!!! Im good!!!!! But that is a really really cool idea about the baby thing I like that scratch thing a lot, next time you have to do something with a sniff also!!!

Girl: My Mom & Dad, Brittany, Tayler, Farrah, & Jessica (Everyone that scratched girl said, I thought for sure it was a girl.)
Boy: Skyler's Mom & Dad, Darren & Chelsea, Dallen, Shane & Sadie, Mike, Jake, Ryan, Lane, & Josh.

Apparently not very many people have faith in me making girls!haha....I guess they were right.

All I can say is......The Chinese calender is SO wrong!haha (unless this baby comes out a girl)!haha that would be funny.

I once again wanted to come up with a clever way to tell the family more news. And this time Gender news, so it had to be good. 

 I thought it would be fun to turn the cards into a little game this time... scratch cards! Who doesn't like the excitement of a scratch card. So I have been busily making lots and lots of scratch cards to send to all the family.

Now scratch away. Since the whole boy - girl thing has kinda been a tradition in the family I figure most of my family will think were having a girl. So they will scratch away at the girl circle....

(Or they will think for sure they know it's a girl so they need to scratch boy first to see what it says....but if they do that they totally spoil the surprise 5 seconds to early).

 Only to see that in fact, we are NOT having a girl. Better Luck Next Time

So they move on to the boy circle to clarify that...YES, It's a Boy. Double Or Nothing Baby! We have ourselves a winner!

The letters are in the mail, so as soon as the family has found out about our special news, I'll be back to record some reactions.
