The Wes Match Up

We have been trying to decide who Wes looks like. Some people have said he looks like Preston (which he maybe/kind of does) but it's hard for me to see. So I pulled out some pictures so I could compare side by side. And yes, there for sure is some resemblance here...I just don't see tons.

Wes                                                                          Preston

While my Mom was here she mentioned a few times that she thought Wes looked like me as a baby, so I had to pull out one of those pictures too. And I can definitely say sweet little Wes got his mommies chubby{hanging}checks (kind of adorable right?...just not when you grow up!haha)
Wes                                              Brooke {Mom}

So I came to the conclusion that I see more of a resemblance in my baby picture than I do in Preston's baby picture, but maybe that's just me(and probably mostly in the checks...and eyes).
So...what do you think?

But in the end I say Wes just looks like WES, and we love him that way...so perfect!

Wesley Shoot {2 1/2 Weeks}

Let me just mention how awesome this little guy is. Last night I fed Wes at 10:30pm and then he didn't wake up until 4:30am to eat...um hello 6 hour break, I LOVE YOU, and then he slept till 7:30 woohoo!!

Can you believe how big he already looks...not so newborn anymore :( He's growing way to fast and we just keep getting more and more in love with him!
 (Skyler took the one's of me, nice job huh?...I was very impressed!)
 Oh this sweet little boy has stolen my heart...how many times can you have your heart stolen? Cause I'm pretty sure mine belongs to 3 boys now!

I didn't actually think I would get any good one's so I just threw up my backdrop without ironing it...oops (so ignore that).

Wesley's First Photo Shoot

Wes was one week old in these pictures. I got a few good ones, but you'll have to wait a while to see my favorite one(it's going out on his announcement so I didn't want to ruin the surprise yet).

8 Days Old, And Still Loving Him!

Our sweet little Wesley is one week old, and he seriously just keeps getting cuter and cuter! We LOVE him to pieces and can't imagine our little family without him. It really is incredible how fast you fall in love with sweet little babies!

He is an angel baby. We thought we had it good with Preston, but man...Wes is so good. Last night he woke up at 4:45 to eat and then slept until 8:45, then back to sleep of course! Hopefully he keeps it up forever.
And those sweet little grins just melt your heart, and make me think of what a little miracle he is!

 Preston is adjusting pretty well. I think it's a little hard for him to see me hold Wes and then when he asks me to hold him i have to say no(I'm not supposed the lift more than 10lb for 6weeks). But he's getting used to it, and is a very loving big.
We have been so lucky to have Skyler home on his break, for Preston's sake(& my own) I wouldn't have wanted to do this while he was in school.

Preston always asks if he can hold "Baby Wes" on his knees, so he sits on the floor with Wes in his lap and talks to him and rubs his head, it's pretty cute!

My mom has also been a lifesaver! Watching Preston, feeding us, stocking the freezer with meals, taking care of Wes at night, and just plain fun to have around. She flew home yesterday and we are seriously going to miss her tons! Can't wait for her to come back with the family in a few weeks for Wesley's baby blessing.
We are loving life right now and are so blessed to have such sweet little boys!

A {Tiny} Wesly Update

AHHH, isn't he just precious?
I'm still totally in the "you're the most perfect, precious tiny baby ever and I can't stand to put you down" stage. I love that I can just sit and hold him forever, and feel absolutely content with doing nothing but that.
I'm slowly but surly recovering...I think that I'm feeling great and then I actually do something and realize how great I'm not feeling!haha I've been out of the house once since we have been home, and by the time I got home I felt like I ran a marathon...exhausted. So until I get some of my energy back I just keep sitting and holding and staring at my sweet little Wes.

 Preston loves to inform everyone that sees the baby that his name is WES. He sure does loves his little brother!

 I still haven't figured out how to fix Wesley's hair. Curly when it's wet and frizzy if you let it try with the curls. When he wakes up he has sweet bed head(see above)...but no matter what hairdo he is sporting we always love it!

There's No Place Like Home

Because I had a c-section I had to spend 3 nights in the hospital, so after 4 days in the hospital we were all very ready to go home. And Preston was very ready to have his family back too. We had a wonderful stay in the hospital while it lasted...and it is kind of nice to have so much peace and quiet and time to rest, but we are all VERY happy to be home.

(I know you LOVE my sweet socks...especially with my flip flops! Don't worry...I have to wear them for a while, I wouldn't normally be cool enough to sport the ted socks!haha)

Preston wanted me to carry him...which isn't happening for a while, so he got to ride in my sweet wheel chair with me. Preston keeps asking me to hold him and we have to keep reminding him that Mommy is "hurt", I don't think he believed me till I showed him my incision...then he said "oh, mommy hurt".

Today Preston kept saying to me, " Ready mommy?" I'm said ready for what? As he runs out of the bathroom with the medicine syringe he says "ready mommy"? Gunna fix your hurt! Then he proceeds to try to place the syringe near my stomach. haha such a sweet boy!

 Wes gets lots of cuddle time now that he is home with Grandma!

 We gave Wes his first bath today, and he LOVED it. He just layed in the water and lounged like it was his little hot tub!

 Grandma gives the best baby baths, and can't you just tell how happy she is to be a Grandma...she's the best!
